WHAT’S YOUR PEQ?

Presenters often wonder how they measure against other presenters. To help people gauge their own skills and get feedback, we´re conducting an on-line survey to benchmark people´s Presentation Excellence Quotient (PEQ). We will share the results of this benchmarking survey with participants. If you haven’t already completed it, you can by clicking here.

SUPER-MENTORING PROGRAM

Last year, members of our team developed a "Super-Mentoring" model to help companies with employee retention, leadership development and other HR initiatives. The program is ideally suited for small to midsize growth companies (or divisions of larger firms) who want to facilitate employees’ professional advancement and contribution to the firm. Mentors help Mentees define goals, strategize for achievement and hold them accountable to the commitments. The Supervising Mentor coaches the Mentors and keeps them on track. CLIENT CORNER

Driving Dynamics, which helps drivers of corporate vehicles learn safety techniques, completed a presentation training program to increase their instructors´ classroom effectiveness.

StevensGould Partners conducted a survey of PR firms to identify trends in bonuses, raises and billing rates and launched its new website. Results will soon be published.

VIPwins launched its new investor-relations service with its new website at www.VIPwins.biz.

PRESENTATION TIPS


1. For impact, a presentation needs to motivate the audience to take action. This means you need to address the emotional issues (e.g., develop trust and overcome fears of switching to you) and the logical ones (e.g., benefits) which rationalize decision-making

2. Use stories, analogies & metaphors, so the audience can connect emotionally to the characters´ experiences as they reach the logical conclusion of the presentation.
