WORKSHOPS:
Presentation Excellence has workshops that address several presentation needs. Some of them include:"Present Like A Pro" is what you'll do after learning how to design and deliver effective presentations at this workshop. Most importantly, it's not just what you say, but how you say it that makes the difference. Learn how to organize a powerful presentation, use PowerPoint visuals that complement your speech, and present with confidence and impact. In a small group setting, you will apply the principles to your presentation, and then present it to the group, using feedback from the videotape and the group to perfect your style.
This one-day workshop is very intense. Prior to the program, you will submit a needs assessment survey and sample presentation to work on during the workshop. We start by learning presentation fundamentals, which you apply to your presentation. Then, you practice presenting it and use feedback from watching yourself on video, so you can develop and deliver powerful presentations. During the following two-weeks, you can improve your presentation and send it to the coach for more feedback and pose additional questions.

Know Yourself Cultural Sensitivity is a workshop designed for companies with staff who increasingly will interact in this global economy, with people from foreign countries. The purpose of this one day corporate workshop is to sensitize participants to the differences they will encounter with people living and working in foreign countries with different cultural values, habits, and traditions. The goal is to equip them with the sensitivity, skills, and strategies to conduct business efficiently and effectively.
What you learn
General interpersonal communication issues that are especially relevant when relating to people in the countries of interest. We do this through an analysis of each countries' values and personal preferences of its citizens, and role playing exercises to practice the development of new skills and habits. Issues that we address include:
- Preferred modes of communication.
- Body language interpretations.
- Perceptions of time, space, and status cues.
- Negotiating styles (e.g., win-win, win-lose)
- Pre-program needs assessment, to gauge levels of knowledge and experiences of participants.
- General communication challenges and how they are exacerbated by how members of different cultures interact.
- Country specific orientation to cultural values, habits, behaviors, etiquette, preferences, and how they impact business transactions.
- Methods to identify these differences. Strategies to adapt to these differences.
Training takes place by alternating between small group, large group, individual exercises, and succinct discussions on cultural issues. Leverage Your Communication Style to become effective. We all have developed different communication styles; however, few of us understand the dynamics of "our" style and how it impacts our ability to communicate effectively with others. In this one day workshop, you'll learn to appreciate your style and develop strategies to communicate more effectively with others.
The program starts with a pre-program administration of the Forte Assessment Tool, which we believe is superior to the Myers Briggs in determining a person's communication style when initiating conversations and responding to others. The actual day begins with a review of the Forte instrument, how it works, and an interpretation of each participants' profile.
- The use of different media to communicate the value of a message.
- How to interpret and use non-verbal and body language for effective communication.
- How to build strong interactive and collaborative relationships.
- How to influence other people. how to identify other people's communication styles and adapt to them.
- How to leverage the combination of verbal and non-verbal communications to provide leadership and inspire creativity as well as innovation.
This program is designed for any executive who wants to communicate more effectively with fellow employees, colleagues, customers, prospects, vendors, and stockholders. It is especially well-suited for salespeople, managers, leaders, and business professionals.
